My philosophy of education is it must be student centered. Student needs are the essential priority. Education must provide a secure, supportive, and safe environment for children to learn. Education must instruct the whole child, promoting academic and social-emotional growth. Education must prepare all students to be college, career and life ready, as well as prepare them to be responsible digital and global citizens.
My philosophy of leadership is based in service. Leaders must have a service mentality. In service to others, leaders must model the way, inspire a shared vision, challenge the process, enable others to act and encourage the heart (based on the work of Kouzes & Posner’s The Leadership Challenge).
