Dr. Lloyd Jackson is the Superintendent of the Texarkana Arkansas School District (TASD), where he leads the very community that shaped him as a proud district alumnus. Known for steady, calm leadership in high-pressure systems, Dr. Jackson brings a clear, people-first approach to district transformation rooted in trust, consistency, and measurable outcomes.
In his first year at TASD, he guided a listening-and-learning tour that sharpened three districtwide priorities: literacy, behavior, and chronic absenteeism. He’s led the shift from a “system of schools” to a unified school system by streamlining assessment practices, building data literacy across leadership and classrooms, and using visible scoreboards and consistent accountability rhythms to keep the work focused.
Dr. Jackson is also advancing mission-aligned partnerships built on mutual accountability, including outcome-based contracting, and explores ethical, human-centered uses of AI as a force multiplier, not a replacement.
